Carling Big Band

Carling Big Band is a 13-piece band led by Gunhild Carling. The band was founded in 2005 by members of the Carling Family Band and the Maritime Stompers for the annual Gunhild Carling Christmas variety show and was an instant success. Since then they have done both TV and radio performances as well as touring in several countries. The Gunhild Carling Big Band has recently released a CD album (Magic Swing) and has had the famous Swedish dance troupe the Harlem Hot Shots perform with them on several occasions. Their music, largely influenced by Chick Webb, Count Basie, Gene Krupa and Duke Ellington among others, is written or arranged by members of the band.

Sir Bourbon Dixieland Band

Sir Bourbon Dixieland Band was formed in the southern suburbs of Göteborg, Sweden in 1982. They've made several recordings and have toured all over Europe and are now enjoying a position where they get more bookings than they can accept; we're very happy (and lucky) to have this band play GBGLX! Their style is traditional dixieland jazz but with a swing beat, a combination to please every taste!

Mobile Mama Jazz Band

We have a strong suspicion that Mobile Mama hold the official title of "Best traditional jazz band in Sweden 2007". We'll get back to this as soon as we get our facts straight but they probably are cause they're just that good. Mobile Mama play swing, pure and simple, and boy do they swing!
